“The Mask” by Taylor Stevens is the fifth novel in the Vanessa Michael Munroe series. The worst part about this book is the fact that the next book in the series hasn’t been written yet. Every time I get a taste of Vanessa Michael Munroe I am completely sucked into her world.

This is because the ruler of this country is a of course someone very strong /5. So, 'Mask:Thaery' has an awkward-ass name for a book. Its back cover and online descriptions is a confusing word salad of awkwardly lifted introduction, and in a long and prolific career its certainly not one of the more famous or well reviewed works of Vance.
But despite all of this, Mask: Thaery, is awesome/5. This book is an ancient Egyptian fictional murder mystery/thriller. It is set in the capital of Thebes in BC. The story centers on the court intrigue, politics, bitter rivalry for the throne, power take-overs, and murder just before the reign of Queen/Pharaoh Hatshepsut/5.
This book was published inso it is a little dated but still stands up as a very creepy story. As with a lot of Dean Koontz books, there is a bit too much telling for my tastes but The Mask redeems itself by being fairly short (only 7 audio cds) and also for the creepiness factor/5.

'The Mask of Cthulhu' is probably best enjoyed in small doses, since reading the whole collection in one voluminous bite reveals a distinct lack of variety in each fiendish tale of slumberous batrachian maleficence.
These eldritch narratives, while stolid and well-written, do lack invention, and a modicum of dry wit would have added much to the 4/5(6).
Cthulhu is a fictional cosmic entity created by writer H. Lovecraft and first introduced in the short story "The Call of Cthulhu", published in the American pulp magazine Weird Tales in Considered a Great Old One within the pantheon of Lovecraftian cosmic entities, the creature has since been featured in numerous popular culture references.
Lovecraft depicts it as a gigantic entity Created by: H. Lovecraft. This book, book 3 in the Cleric Quintet, is a turning point for the main charactor and the plot. Each book is a story in itself, yet the whole series is like a humongo book, too large to be print entirely, so broken in 5 parts.
