The more I reflected on the role of hope in healing from life losses, the more compelled I was to write a user-friendly, easy-to-read book that would help mourners invite hope into their lives. This book of hope is anchored in reflections and my favorite quotes on the role of hope in healing. In You'll Get Through This: Hope and Help for Your Turbulent Times, Max Lucado encourages readers through sharing the Biblical story of Joseph. Stripped of his identity, thrown into a pit and sold as a slave, his was a story of defeat and challenges, but as time passed God worked through his circumstances to bring redemption and reconciliation.

Regardless of the scenario, the loss of hopes and dreams can be incredibly hard to accept and cope with. These losses aren’t just felt at one time in a person’s life; true to grief-form, they pop up as milestones, reminders, birthdays, important events, regrets, and emptiness forever.   Hope in the Midst of Loss book. Read reviews from world’s largest community for readers. Sorrows visit all of us in many forms: job layoffs, doctor repor 5/5(1).

Hope is a Gift (a prayer for strength and hope) Hope is a gift from you Lord. Hope soars upwards when all is falling. Hope rides high on the stormy waves. Hope dances in the darkest places. Hope rings out across the fields of devastation. Hope remains strong amidst crushing burdens. Hope opens hearts that have been neglected or rejected. Yes! Author Max Lucado’s “Survivor’s Creed” will give you hope in difficult times! The Survivor’s Creed By Max Lucado You’ll get through this. It won’t be painless. It won’t be quick. But God will use this mess for good. Don’t be foolish or naïve. But don’t despair either. With God’s help, you’ll get through this.
